We had been telling Karina for awhile that when she turned 3 she would have to get rid of her binkis. So about 3 days before her birthday, I took the only binki she had left and snipped off a tiny bit off the top of the binki and that night when she went to bed she said, "Daddy, that binki doesn't work anymore!" and she didn't ask for another one. So then the next day before she took her nap, I asked her if she wanted her binki and she said, "no it's yucky!" So I asked her what she thought we should do with it and she goes, "hmmm, I fink we should throw it in the trash!" So in the trash it went! No more binkis!! Good job Karina!!
Here she is throwing it in the trash. Dora conveniently happened to be there as if to say, "Lo hicimos!" (that's for all you Dora fans out there, oh yeah sing it with me!)

Way to go, Karina! That is a pretty big milestone if you ask me. And look how long her hair is in those pigtails! Cute.
Savannah never liked her binki, but oh boy, did she ever love sucking her thumb. But a couple of months ago, she hurt her thumb and couldn't suck it for a couple of days, and that was it! I was so relieved...I had visions of having to threaten her with all sorts of things. :)
